Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few of the common questions to help you prepare for your day on the lake with us! If you still have questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

What is the cancellation policy?

We ask that customers please reschedule or cancel their session at least 72 hours before the beginning of your appointment time or you may be charged a cancellation fee.

It is at the discretion of our staff to cancel appointments within this time frame for weather and other circumstances free of charge. Our cancellation fee is 25% of the booked lesson price. Please contact us for exceptions.

Do we get charged when booking online?

Our online booking system does NOT charge your credit card at the time of booking. This is to prevent the hassle of refunding lessons due to weather or other circumstances. Our online system takes credit card information to hold on file in the case of a "no-show" or last minute cancellation, in which you would be charged a 25% fee of the lesson price. Payment will take place at the end of the lesson or charter!

How much time should we book?

We recommend booking a minimum of a two hour session in order to make the most out of your time on the water. For groups between 1 - 4 participants we recommend a two or three hour session. For larger groups between 4 - 8 participants we recommend a three or four hour session. As a general rule of thumb, a minimum of thirty minutes of water time per participant (especially beginners) is optimal.

How old do you have to be to participate?

There is no minimum or maximum age to be able to participate! Anyone can participate as long as a life jacket can be comfortably worn. We supply all size life jackets!

What should we bring?

We provide all boards, skis, ropes, and life jackets. However, we would recommend bringing towels, sunscreen (non-sprayable, see below), hats that won't blow off your head, sunglasses, and weather appropriate clothing.

What should we NOT bring?

Spray sunscreen will NOT be permitted on the boat as it damages the upholstery. Please apply all sunscreen before boarding the boat. Messy foods such as Cheetos, greasy food, chocolate, berries, etc will NOT be permitted on the boat and please refrain from bringing glass bottles, containers, or styrofoam coolers. Our crew reserves the right to ask you to leave these items behind if they present a safety, cleanliness or environmental concern. Please note a cleaning fee may be applied to the price of your session if necessary.

What if it is raining?

Ideally we would always have perfect weather during lessons! However, in the case of a rain storm, our crew will be in close contact with you via email or phone in order to discuss weather concerns and cancellations, rescheduling, etc. Although we cannot go out if thunder or lighting is in the forecast or on the radar, we can still go out in light rain!

Do we have to wear a life jacket?

New Hampshire state law requires anyone 12 years old and younger to wear a life jacket at all times on the boat. Additionally, all participants will be required to wear a coast guard approved life jacket while behind the boat. We supply all size life jackets!

How many people can we bring?

We typically allow up to 8 participants/observers for water sports lessons or charters. However, we recommend longer session for more participants. We charge an extra $100 for parties over 8 participants. Please contact us via email for larger groups!

Who else will be on the boat?

Your group will be the only people on the boat aside from our captain and coach for water sports lessons and charters. Event nights and kids camp can consist of people from different groups!

All of our coaches are CPR and First Aid certified and our drivers all have a NH Commercial Boater's License.

Can we bring food and drinks?

Yes, feel free to bring your own food and drinks! However, we please ask that you do not bring messy foods that could stain our upholstery or leave crumbs, residue, etc. Please note that a cleaning fee could be added to your session price if necessary.

Where should we park? Where do we meet you?

We are located at Silver Sands Marina at 103 Weirs Road, Gilford, NH 03249. Click here to see a map of the parking lot and where out shop and boat slip are located!
